৬ সেটি (6 Ceti) হলো তিমি নামক বিষুবীয় তারামণ্ডলের একটি একক[5] নক্ষত্র। এটি ৪.৮৯ আপাত মানে খালি চোখে দৃশ্যমান।[6] পৃথিবী থেকে পরিমাপকৃত বার্ষিক লম্বন সরণ হলো ৫৩.৩৪ মাস, যা থেকে এর দূরত্ব ৬১.১ আলোকবর্ষ বলে অনুমান করা হয়। নক্ষত্রটি +১৬.৭০ কিমি/সেকেন্ডের ধ্রুবক রেডিয়াল বেগে সূর্য থেকে দূরে সরে যাচ্ছে।[2] এটি আইএইউ (IAU)-এর আদর্শ বেগ নক্ষত্রগুলোর মধ্যে একটি।[7]
গ্রে এবং অন্যান্যরা (২০০৬) এই নক্ষত্রটিকে F৮ V Fe−০.৮ CH−০.৫ নাক্ষত্রিক শ্রেণিবিন্যাস প্রদান করেছেন,[8] যা নির্দেশ করে যে এটি একটি এফ-টাইপ প্রধান অনুক্রমের নক্ষত্র, যার নাক্ষত্রিক বায়ুমণ্ডলে আয়রন এবং CH অণুর স্বল্পতা রয়েছে। এর বয়স প্রায় ৪.২ বিলিয়ন বছর, ভর সূর্যের ভরের ১.২ গুণ[3] এবং এটি ৪.৮৮ কিমি/সেকেন্ড প্রক্ষিপ্ত ঘূর্ণন বেগে ঘুরছে।[9] নক্ষত্রটি তার আলোক মণ্ডল থেকে সূর্যের দীপন ক্ষমতার তিন গুণ বিকিরণ করছে এবং এর কার্যকর তাপমাত্রা প্রায় ৬১৯২ K।[3]
